In 1994 Trudy Gibson and I hatched an idea to open a gallery space in the old town of Edinburgh. Out of the Blue evolved, quite quickly into a performance and experimental arts space specialising in cross-disciplinary arts, outgrew its first home and moved into an old bus depot which included studios, workshop space, performance venue (The Bongo Club) and gallery.
